Uzbekfilm hosted a meeting with the famous French actor Gérard Depardieu.

The actor shared his childhood story, moments of making films and his opinion on the future of cinema.

Jokingly, he even said: “Perhaps I have Uzbek blood since the history of Uzbekistan attracts me very much. That is why I decided to shoot a film in Uzbekistan”.

It should be noted that Gérard Depardieu is the Ambassador of Culture of Uzbekistan. He shared warm memories of his visit to Uzbekistan and thanked for the invitation to the film festival.

“The efforts of the Government of Uzbekistan in the development of the national cinematography are very valuable. Much attention is paid to young people as the future of Uzbek cinema”, said Depardieu.
