Geotourism and industrial tourism to be developed in Uzbekistan’s Navoi

The State Committee of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development has studied infrastructure facilities for geotourism and industrial tourism at Amantoytov and Dovgiztov fields of Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant.

Considering that Navoi region is an industrially developed region, to develop geotourism and industrial tourism, the existing infrastructure facilities at the deposits for the extraction of gold, ore and other mineral resources, which are under the jurisdiction of the state enterprise of Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant, were studied to further transform Amantoytov and Dovgiztov fields in a tourist attraction.

These deposits are located in the orefield of the central Kyzylkum desert, 180 kilometers north of the city of Navoi and 40 kilometers east of Zarafshan. It is one of the unique deposits in the world in terms of the scale of ore reserves, the convenience of the technological conditions for ore mining, the high quality of products and other characteristics.

In the future, it is planned to organize a new direction of industrial tourism with exclusive know-how for foreign and local tourists.
