On November 10, Istanbul hosted the General Assembly of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The event was attended by the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry Rifat Hisarciklioğlu, Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan A. Ikramov, as well as chairmen of chambers of commerce and industry of CCTS member countries.

The event is aimed at discussing the prospects for enhancing trade-economic cooperation between CCTS member states.

At the event, the Uzbek side proposed to create the necessary conditions for entering foreign markets by providing customs privileges for exporting companies, simplifying trade procedures between CCTS countries to increase trade turnover between the participating countries of the organization.

The need for developing trade-economic, financial-technical, transport-communication and investment cooperation, which increases the role of chambers of commerce and industry and business structures of partner countries, was noted.

It was also proposed to use the institute of international arbitration to provide prompt and effective assistance in resolving disputes arising between enterprises of the countries.

The need for further cooperation in education was also noted. In this regard, participants noted a successful joint project with Turkey to create Tashkent branch of TOBB ETÜ University of Economics and Technology.

Participants highly appreciated the potential of the Turkic Council as an effective regional structure that promotes the development of practical cooperation, primarily in such current areas as trade, investment, innovation, transport, tourism, as well as in the cultural and humanitarian exchange.
