GAZ Group plans to open a car plant in Tashkent
Russia’s GAZ Group and the government of Tashkent region of Uzbekistan have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
According to GAZ Group, Uzbekistan is one of the key markets in near abroad, and the largest share of supplies of GAZ vehicles to the country falls on Tashkent region.
Therefore, within the framework of cooperation, it is planned to study the issue of organizing the production of light commercial (LCV) and medium commercial (MCV) GAZ vehicles, as well as special equipment on their basis, in Tashkent.
The government of Tashkent region intends to use the equipment of the GAZ Group to renew car parks for housing and communal services, social and medical spheres, urban and suburban passenger transportation, for small and medium-sized businesses.
