This project with a total value of 120 billion soums, providing for the connection of two main gas pipelines, is carried out by the subsidiary company “Urganchtransgaz”, the National Holding Company “Uzbekneftegaz”, Joint-Stock Company “Janubgazkurilish” and “Neftgazmontaj” LLC.

The length of the gas pipeline, which will stretch along the territories of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region, will be 74 km. 850 meters of the gas pipeline with a diameter of 1020 mm will be laid at a depth of 20 meters in the mainstream of the Amudarya.

The event, dedicated to the beginning of the drilling operation, was attended by representatives of state and public organizations, media workers.

This work, which will be held in three phases, involved 500 engineers, workers and experts, more than 200 units of special machineries. Horizontal shallow drilling at the bottom of the river is considered a unique construction method previously conducted by companies of foreign countries and foreign experts. Now this work is carried out by local specialists.

This line, connecting two large gas pipelines, will cross 52 networks, sewers, roads and railways. In accordance with the resolution of the President of our country from December 6, 2012, this project is expected to operate for two years from 2015 to 2017, but construction engineers plan to complete the construction and installation, drilling works and insulation of gas pipes by September this year.
