Gabor Toth: “All conditions have been created for media representatives”
21:05 / 2023-07-09

Today, the Uzbekistan Presidential Election is covered by 1,400 local and foreign media representatives.

Of course, the participation of media representatives in the open, public, and transparent conduction of this political event is of great importance. In particular, foreign media representatives are monitoring and analyzing political processes in Uzbekistan and preparing interviews. At the same time, they are sharing their impressions about the organization of the elections and the voting process.

Senior Editor of International News at HIRTV Gabor Toth also shared his impressions:

– The electoral process in Uzbekistan is taking place at a high organizational level. I am very pleased with the conditions created for journalists. All the possibilities for work have been created, and the Press Center is equipped with high-speed Internet and computers.

We have prepared and sent a two-minute report for the Hungarian audience covering the electoral process. It will be broadcast today on the Hungarian news channel. At the same time, we are preparing a second report, which will last 20 minutes. It analyzes in detail the electoral process in Uzbekistan. It includes interviews with an Uzbek professor, a doctor of political sciences, and a Hungarian international commentator.

Today I visited one of the polling stations in Tashkent. There were many journalists, media representatives, and international observers. I would like to emphasize that, in general, the electoral process is taking place at a high organizational level.
