The first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan was held.

The first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan was held.

It was attended by members of the Board of Trustees, heads of republican mass media, veteran journalists, professors, teachers and young researchers.

Participants of the meeting got acquainted with the state of building allocated for the new University, and discussed organizational issues. At the meeting, Rector of the University Sh. Kudratkhodjayev provided full information about admission process, plans for academic year, tasks of the university, structure of the Board of Trustees was formed.

At the meeting, main attention was paid to tasks facing the Board of Trustees, training plans, repair and improvement of the building, discussion of the University logo and improvement of material- technical base.

As it was noted, interest in the new University is quite high, this year, the first stage of oral examinations will be held. It will be evaluated by specialists of the sphere. At the next stage, entrants will demonstrate their creative potential in writing on the chosen theme. In 2018, admission of 100 students to undergraduate courses of the university, 30 students – in master’s courses, and 30 students – in part-time department, is planned.
