The Ministry for Support of Mahalla and Family of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the UNDP representative Tom Thorogood.

The parties discussed the work carried out by the Ministry, in particular, to provide comprehensive support for women, social protection of youth, and solve problems of the population.

Tom Thorogood highly appreciated the socio-political reforms in the new Uzbekistan, including the work of the Ministry for Support of Mahalla and Family, created on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. He noted that it is planned to identify areas that require special attention in the implementation of the project for further development of mahallas in the country.
