On November 28, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Furkat Sidikov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Uzbekistan Ms. Aurelia Bouchez, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
The parties discussed practical aspects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and France in the trade-economic sphere and the deepening of economic diplomacy between the two countries.
Ms. Aurelia Bouchez highly appreciated the results of the historic visit of the President of Uzbekistan to France on November 21-22, especially the trade agreements and investment projects.
An agreement was reached to hold a regular joint dialogue between the Foreign Ministry and the French Embassy to monitor the timely implementation of all economic documents signed following the visit.
The parties also noted the importance of strengthening interaction to increase the volume of exports of Uzbek products to France, primarily within the framework of the EU’s Generalised Scheme of Preferences, certification and standardization of goods, attracting French experts to improve their skills and exchange experience in personnel training for industries in Uzbekistan.
