On 4 September 2021, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov met with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Government of National Unity, Omar Muhammad Saleh, who arrived in Tashkent to attend the 46th Annual Meetings of the Board of Governors of the Islamic Development Bank, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The parties discussed current aspects of cooperation in areas of mutual interest, as well as issues of interaction between the parties within the framework of international and regional organizations, including the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the League of Arab States.

Mutual interest was expressed to intensify ties in trade and economy, education, culture and tourism.

Views were also exchanged on certain international and regional issues.
