Uzbekistan delegation led by the Executive Director of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan, Gayane Umerova, met with the President of Qatar National Library, Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Kawari.

The parties discussed the development of cooperation and the possibility of implementing joint projects. Representatives of the Foundation spoke about the current plans to open the Republican Children’s Library and Research Work at the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Abu Rayhan Beruni.

The President of Qatar National Library showed interest in the Foundation’s projects and announced his readiness for cooperation and assistance in developing bilateral relations between the countries.

According to the Art and Culture Development Foundation, collections of ancient manuscripts were presented during the visit to Qatar National Library. The delegation got acquainted with the audiovisual rooms, media center, restoration laboratories, and manuscripts’ restoration and conservation processes.
