Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan peoples share a common history, culture and ancient friendship.
As noted in the congratulatory message of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the participants of the Friendship Festival between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan peoples, this important forum aimed at further strengthening truly kinship and good-neighborly relations once again demonstrates the commonality of the noble goals and aspirations of our peoples.
The high-level festival held in Turkmenistan’s Dashoguz city has become a real celebration of friendship, brotherhood, culture and art.
According to the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the festival was full of various concerts, creative meetings, conversations. Exhibitions of painting and applied art, film and theater performances were demonstrated within its framework.

The concert program prepared in cooperation with masters of culture and art of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan left a special impression. At the concert, poems by the great poets of the two peoples – Alisher Navoi and Makhtumkuli were read, national dances were performed, songs were sung in Uzbek and Turkmen, the audience sang along with Uzbek artists.
On November 17, a creative meeting of writers and poets of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan was held at the Dashoguz Regional Library in the city of Dashoguz.

A meeting of filmmakers of the two countries took place in the House of Culture in the village of Dilevar, Dashoguz region, during which Uzbek-Turkmen films were shown. The film “Ayol Qismati” (“The Fate of a Woman”) by Uzbekistan cinematographers was presented.
The closing ceremony of the festival took place at the Musical Theater named after Nurmuhammad Andalib in the city of Dashoguz.
The address of the participants of the Friendship Festival between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan peoples to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov was read out.
The performance “Iqror Otashi” (“Flaming Confession”) staged by theatrical figures of Turkmenistan was presented.
Thereupon, the Friendship Festival between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan peoples ended.
