Sharda University – Uzbekistan in Andijan hosted an event called “Uzbekistan – India: Unbreakable Friendship”.
The event was organized on the 148th anniversary of a famous statesman and politician of the Indian people, one of the founders of the Indian Constitution, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth. It was attended by the general public, representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of India in Uzbekistan, teachers, and students of Sharda University – Uzbekistan. It was noted that the friendship between the peoples of the two countries and cooperation in economy, culture, education, and science is enhancing and strengthening yearly.
“The history of friendship between the Uzbek and Indian peoples goes back a long time”, says the representative of the Embassy of India in Uzbekistan, Mr. Sitesh Kumar. “Today, the cooperation between our countries further strengthens this friendship”.
At the event, extensive and interesting information was given about the life and activities of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
As a symbol of friendship based on trust and sincerity between the people of the two countries, one of the most prosperous streets in Andijan city is named after the statesman and politician of the Indian people, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel from Gujarat, and his bust is installed on this street.
