The Uzbekistan delegation is visiting Türkiye to exchange experiences and study advanced urban planning and management practices as part of a professional development program for hokims.

The Hokim of Shakhrisabz, Sherzod Buriyev, met with the Mayor of Gebze, Zinnur Büyükgöz, to discuss prospects for developing cooperation between the two cities in various fields.

At the meeting, the parties discussed strengthening trade and economic ties, attracting investments, expanding industrial cooperation, and exploring new opportunities for economic development. They also addressed collaboration in culture and the arts and the exchange of experiences in education and healthcare.

Given the high level of tourism development and infrastructure in Gebze, the parties explored prospects for cooperation in these areas. They also examined opportunities for attracting investments and implementing modern technologies. 

Hokim of Shakhrisabz, Sherzod Buriyev, also met with the Mayor of Pendik, Ahmet Cin, and as a result of the negotiations, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed.
