The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with representatives of French universities.

Minister Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov received Attaché of the French Embassy in Uzbekistan S. Bellini, Director of the International Centre of French Studies of Lumière Lyon 2 University F. Violay, Deputy Director of the French Language Training Center of the University of Grenoble G. Karcher.

The parties exchanged views on the state and level of teaching French in higher and professional education institutions of Uzbekistan, as well as on the development of this area.

The French side noted the expediency of increasing the duration of educational programs to improve the qualification level of graduates of language programs.

Proposals for organizing short-term and long-term programs for teachers of higher and professional education institutions, attracting French teachers from France to Uzbekistan were also discussed.

The parties also discussed the issues of teaching French language skills to young people in professional education institutions, as well as attracting them to work in French companies.
