The leaders of the two countries announced this initiative during the visit of the President of France Emmanuel Macron to Uzbekistan in November 2023.

The “France – Uzbekistan” Economic Chamber unites over 50 French companies and businessmen, as well as their Uzbek partners.

The Chamber will strengthen relations with government agencies of the two countries, provide recommendations for improving the business environment, and actively protect the interests of entrepreneurs.

At the opening ceremony of the chamber, the prospects for the activities of French companies in Uzbekistan in priority areas such as agriculture, tourism, mining, and energy were discussed.

The parties expressed readiness to support entrepreneurs of both sides in implementing mutually beneficial projects.

As part of the event, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov and the President of the Uzbekistan – France Economic Chamber Joan Gola signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The document defines a clear mechanism for further development of relations within the framework of priorities.
