The opening of the exhibition “France through the eyes of an Uzbek photographer” took place in Karakalpakstan at the specialized art boarding school named after Jolliboy Izentayev.
The exhibition shows the works of photographer Babur Alimkhodjayev, shot on various topics during a trip to France.
As noted, at the initiative of the Embassy of France in Uzbekistan, a month-long French Culture event is being held in Nukus from October 27 to November 30. It is planned to hold meetings, exhibitions, roundtable discussions, masterclasses, a Documentary Film Week at the Karakalpakstan State Museum of Art named after I. Savitsky, Nukus branches of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan and Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts and Culture, Karakalpakstan branch of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, Karakalpakstan State Academic Musical Theater named after Berdakh and several other educational organizations. These events will further strengthen friendly ties between the two countries and promote the customs and traditions of the people, thereby educating young people in the spirit of patriotism and dedication to a rich history.
The event also included a masterclass for students of a specialized art boarding school in Karakalpakstan.
Events within the framework of the Month of French Culture are continuing in Nukus.
