The Embassy of Uzbekistan in France, together with the North-South Economic and Cultural Development Agency, organized a roundtable discussion dedicated to discussing the progress of reforms in Uzbekistan, as well as international initiatives of the country.

The event was attended by representatives of business, academic and scientific circles of France.

The French participants were provided with detailed information about the Development Strategy of Uzbekistan for 2017-2021, foreign policy priorities, as well as the initiatives of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the international arena.

The results of reforms such as liberalization of the economy, improvement of the business environment and investment climate, strengthening legal guarantees and privileges for foreign investors, strengthening civil society institutions, and development of the tourism industry were emphasized.

The participants of the event agreed to organize a visit of the delegation of the North-South Economic and Cultural Development Agency, as well as French businesspeople to Uzbekistan as the epidemiological situation improves and events in the regions of France.
