Italy’s Rome hosts the U-17 World Championships in Freestyle, Greco-Roman and Women’s Wrestling.

Uzbekistan’s Aitjan Khalmakhanov, in the weight category up to 51 kilograms, defeated Iranian Mohammadreza Gholami in the final with a score of 5:0 and became the gold medalist.

Another athlete from Uzbekistan, Shahzod Ruziokhunov (45 kg) lost to Eugene Pokovba from Ukraine with a score of 0:9 and became the silver medalist. While Khurshidbek Normuhammadov (55 kg) and Bekhruz Barnoyev (65 kg) won the bronze medals in their weight categories.

Uzbekistan’s athletes completed the World Championships with 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.
