The regional stage of the republican young entrepreneurs second business forum entitled “Topical issues of developing young people’s entrepreneurship” has taken place in Navoiy.

At the event held by the Navoiy regional council of the Kamolot youth public movement, the regional territorial department of the Commerce and Industry Chamber of Uzbekistan, commercial banks and other organizations, it was said that special attention is being paid under the leadership of the country’s President to the development of small business and private entrepreneurship, the wide involvement of young people in entrepreneurship and the provision of support for promising business projects and initiatives.

The presidential decree dated 6 February 2014 “On additional measures directed towards implementing the state youth policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan” is an important guidance document for action in this sphere.

At the forum, there was discussion about issues relating to bank credits, tax and customs privileges, and proposals and projects directed towards the development of youth entrepreneurship were presented.

“This forum also helps to support ideas and initiatives of young entrepreneurs, to popularize their advanced work experience and to further develop small business and private entrepreneurship,” says Sherali Ghofurov, coordinator of the Molodoy Predprinimatel consulting centre of the Navoiy Regional council of the Kamolot youth public movement.

Eight participants whose ideas and projects were found to be the best have obtained the right to participate in the republican stage of the forum.
