At the Women Scientists Forum, held as part of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, Advisor to the President Saida Mirziyoyeva met with women scientists, academics, researchers, and university rectors.

She emphasized that supporting women in science is a top priority. It was noted that 48 percent of scientists in Uzbekistan are women. Science needs women, and women need science. This inspired female scientists and researchers to strive for new, ambitious goals in scientific and innovative fields. Their confidence in their abilities and potential has grown. However, every thought expressed at the forum also increased their sense of responsibility. Most importantly, all ideas shared will serve as valuable guidance for joint efforts in building the future. 

The forum became yet another testament to the significant contribution of women’s active participation in scientific research and their impact on the development of various fields. 

An award ceremony was held for the women’s scientific projects competition winners. 

“We are proud to be daughters of a country where women are respected and valued”.
