The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with members of the delegation led by the former President of Latvia, now the President of the Latvian Basketball Association, Raimonds Vējonis. The parties discussed issues of basketball development.

During the dialogue, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee Oybek Qosimov spoke about the attention paid in Uzbekistan to physical culture and sports, in particular, about the work being carried out to develop basketball, about the historical results achieved by Uzbekistan athletes at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, preparations for the Tashkent 2025 Asian Games and the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympics.

At the meeting, the guests highly appreciated the broad opportunities created in Uzbekistan in recent years for developing professional sports.
