Navruz celebrations have a long history. Uzbekistan celebrates this traditional holiday yearly with folk festivals, artists, and tightrope walkers’ performances.

A solemn celebration of Navruz was held in Bukhara on the territory of the Ancient and Eternal Bukhara Complex. The event was attended not only by residents, but also by foreign tourists.

Tourists enjoyed the festive program, which included national games, the best examples of folklore art, performances by amateur art groups, circus performers, tightrope walkers, and folk dances.

“In Bukhara, I visited the sights of the city and took part in Navruz celebrations”, says one of the tourists. “After getting acquainted with your national values and customs, as well as the process of cooking sumalak and spring dishes, I got an unforgettable experience”.
