Karakalpakstan’s Muynak hosted the NavrUz Ethnofestival.

Within the framework of the festival, held since 2019 on the initiative of the Department of Tourism of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, a press tour was organized for media workers to widely promote the tourist opportunities of the district, including ethnotourism.

The guests and participants were presented with a concert program under the motto “The world will light up with you, Navruz!” reflecting the national traditions and customs of Karakalpaks, Uzbeks, Kazakhs, Turkmens, and others. Songs and musical compositions performed by famous artists, employees of the district department of culture, and the staff of the Children’s School of Music and Arts No. 2 made a great impression on the participants.

The festival continued with folk festivals. Exhibitions of decorative and applied arts, national costumes, and folk games took place.

It should be noted that the number of tourists participating in the ethnofestival is increasing every year. This year, it was attended by about 50 travelers from England, Italy, France, Poland, Germany, China, and other countries, as well as 30 representatives of local media and bloggers.

Following the event, a press conference was held, during which the district head, B. Menglibekov, provided detailed information about the activities and events planned for the current year.
