On November 13, 2020, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain Arancha González Laya, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
The Foreign Ministers discussed further intensification of political dialogue and inter-parliamentary relations, as well as priority areas of bilateral relations in trade-economic, investment, tourism, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres.
The importance of deepening trade-economic and investment cooperation through joint development of specific measures for effective use of existing opportunities was noted. It was proposed to hold the first meeting of Uzbekistan – Spain Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Investment cooperation in Tashkent, as well as a business forum with participation of representatives of leading companies and business circles of the two countries after the lifting of all quarantine measures.
The sides also exchanged views on cooperation within the framework of international organizations and structures.
