As previously reported, on January 12-13, Samarkand hosts the first meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of India – Central Asia Dialogue with participation of Afghanistan.

As previously reported, on January 12-13, Samarkand hosts the first meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of India – Central Asia Dialogue with participation of Afghanistan.

It will be attended by Ministers of Foreign Affairs of India, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

This morning, a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan Salahuddin Rabbani was held at Samarkand Railway Station.

In the afternoon, other participants are expected to arrive in Samarkand.

The main events will take place on January 13. Promising areas of cooperation in promoting the growth of bilateral trade, transport and logistics development, attracting investments, innovations and technologies in key industries, energy, information technologies, medicine, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, as well as issues of interaction in the spheres of culture, science, education and tourism will be discussed at the meeting, which will be held at the Forum Complex of Samarkand city.

Following the first Ministerial Meeting, it is planned to adopt a Joint Statement.
