Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy Agostino Pinna.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties discussed current issues of Uzbekistan – Italy agenda.

Proposals were considered on the schedule and agenda for upcoming joint events at various levels, in particular, the next rounds of inter-MFA political consultations and dialogue in the Italy – Central Asia format.

The parties stated the importance of developing a dialogue between the legislative bodies of the two countries, organizing mutual visits of parliamentarians, building up the functioning of inter-parliamentary friendship groups.

Views were exchanged on strengthening cultural, humanitarian and educational ties.

An agreement was reached to intensify interaction between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
