Foreign investment growth in Fergana

Fergana regional administration hosted a roundtable discussion on attracting foreign investment to the region and increasing export potential in cooperation with six embassies of Uzbekistan in foreign countries.

The event was attended by the ambassadors of Uzbekistan to Japan, Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Latvia, the Hokim of Fergana region, deputy hokims of cities and districts of the region.

Iqboljon Ergashev, Deputy Hokim of Fergana region, Head of the Investments and Foreign Trade Department, provided information on the implementation of the investment program in 2021, the success achieved and the attraction of investments for $1 billion planned for 2022 and the achievement of the same volume of product exports.

The ambassadors dwelt in detail on the main directions of the development of relations with foreign countries, factors contributing to entering world markets, the prospects for a new stage of international economic cooperation.

The participants agreed on enhancing collaboration with the embassies to increase export volumes and attract foreign investments into the economy of Fergana region.
