On September 28 – October 3 this year, Uzbekistan will host the Pearl of the Silk Road Tashkent International Festival.

Foreign countries’ cinema days will be held in Uzbekistan within the framework of the festival. In particular, on September 30, Samarkand will host the Day of Russian, Indian, Belarusian and French cinema, on October 1– the Day of Italian, Arabic, Polish and Iranian cinema. It is planned to present documentaries and feature films, hold creative meetings.

The project “Cinema in Five Days” is being implemented in Samarkand these days, according to which young filmmakers from France, Russia and Armenia arrived in Uzbekistan accompanied by representatives of the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan. They started shooting new films.
