The Qoraqalpoghiston Republic stage of the republican young entrepreneurs second business forum entitled “Priority issues of developing young people’s entrepreneurship” has taken place in Nukus.

At the event held by the Qoraqalpoghiston Republican council of the Kamolot youth public movement in cooperation with the Qoraqalpoghiston territorial directorate of the Commerce and Industry Chamber of Uzbekistan and other organizations, it was that special attention was being paid under the leadership of the country’s President to developing small business and private entrepreneurship, widely attracting especially young people to entrepreneurial activities and supporting their aspiration and initiatives.

The presidential decree dated 6 February 2014 “On additional measures directed towards implementing the state youth policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan” is an important guidance document in this sphere.

Nearly 60 young entrepreneurs participated in the Qoraqalpoghiston stage of a contest held as part of the forum with the goal of enhancing practical creative cooperation among young entrepreneurs, initiating mutual experience exchanges and involving them in such areas as industrial production and services.

Ten participants whose business ideas were selected will be taking part in the country stage of the forum. A young entrepreneur of Nukus, Rayhon Boymurodova is among them.

“Last year, I graduated from the telecommunications department of the Nukus computer technologies vocational college and started my own entrepreneurial activity,” she says.
