According to Uzbekistan Football Association, the meeting held between the football associations of Uzbekistan and Japan was devoted to cooperation issues.

The First Deputy Chairman of Uzbekistan Football Association Ravshan Irmatov and the Japan Football Association President Kozo Tashima expressed their readiness to jointly implement promising projects.

Following the talks, the parties discussed issues of organizing international competitions with the participation of national teams of the two countries, retraining specialists in sports medicine and football, establishing cooperation between associations, and a memorandum was signed.
