The football associations of Central Asian countries have proposed joint holding of world championships in the future.

This issue was discussed at a summit held in the Issyk-Kul region of the Kyrgyz Republic with the participation of officials from the football associations of the Turkic-speaking countries of Central Asia.

At the summit, attended by the First Vice-President of the Football Association of Uzbekistan Ravshan Irmatov, the parties stressed that the main factors for developing each football association are related to improving infrastructure and increasing human resources.

It was noted that it is essential for the region to bring cooperation to a new level. The possibilities of implementing mutually beneficial projects, organizing international tournaments, and world championships between teams of different age groups were considered.
