Namangan hosts Flower Festival. Every street, park and house has been covered with flowers.

The Festival, according to a special order of the Cabinet of Ministers, has received the status of the International Flower Festival. Over a hundred enterprises, organizations, offices and flower lovers have organized flower exhibitions.

At the Festival Parade, a caravan of more than 200 cars covered with flowers passed along Islam Karimov Avenue and the ring road from the railway station along Amir Temur and Nodim Namangani streets.

The opening ceremony of the festival was attended by guests from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Russia, as well as representatives from almost all regions of Uzbekistan.

The “Anthem of the Flower Festival” sounded. The Hokim of Namangan region, member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Abdurazzakov wished successful holding and good mood to the participants of the holiday.

The participants got acquainted with the expositions of flowers of different organizations, flower decorations and compositions reflecting the traditions of cities and districts of the region.

Invitations were sent to representatives of 20 countries, in particular, people from the twin cities of Namangan – Isparta, Jalal-Abad, Qingdao, Incheon and Seongnam, Punjab, Chelyabinsk and Yekaterinburg.

Media workers and bloggers from 31 countries arrived in Namangan to cover up the flower holiday.

For ten days, master classes on growing flowers and landscape design, exhibitions of works of national handicrafts and applied arts will be held. The authors of the best flower exhibitions will be awarded cars.
