Bukhara hosted a Flower Festival as part of the national project “Yashil Makon” (Green Space) on the initiative of the Regional Council of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan.

The event was attended by employees of trade unions, specialized farms, breeders, amateur flower growers, and more than 1,000 employees of organizations involved in floriculture.

 “As part of the festival, a contest was held among trade union organizations in the context of the industry”, says Abera Imomova, a specialist in the Department for Cultural, Enlightenment and Sports of the Regional Council of the Federation of Trade Unions. – The event was attended by representatives of almost all organizations, regardless of ownership. The evaluation considered the value of flower species, their diversity, quantity, decorative integrity, management of cultivation and storage technology, and visual agitation. The participants were awarded points based on these criteria, and accordingly, winners were defined.

The participants of the contest were also awarded in such nominations as “The most active district (city) primary branch trade union organization”, “The most active primary trade union organization”, “Best flower composition”, “Best flower technologist”, “Owner of rare types of flowers”, “Best decorative composition”, “For cooperation in organizing the flower festival”, “For cooperation in organizing media coverage of the flower festival”, “The best florist of the floriculture school”.
