The Embassy of Uzbekistan organized a flower-laying ceremony at the Alisher Navoi monument in Seoul to mark the 584th anniversary of his birth.

The ceremony was attended by embassy staff and Uzbek compatriots residing and studying in South Korea.

During the event, speakers highlighted that Navoi’s creative legacy represents a significant contribution to the treasury of world culture and the heritage of the Uzbek people.

Participants were informed about ongoing efforts to thoroughly study Navoi’s rich and multifaceted literary works, promote his immortal creations in Uzbekistan and abroad, and preserve his memory.

It was noted that the installation of Navoi’s monument in Seoul stands as a historic milestone aimed at promoting the literary and scientific legacy of the great figure of Uzbek classical literature on the international stage and further strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and South Korea.
