Yerevan hosts the Sambo World Championship.

On the first day of the championship, members of the Uzbekistan team won three silver and two bronze medals.

Gulsevar Urokova, Feruza Bobokulova, and Madinabonu Salokhiddinova won silver medals, and Azam Rashidov and Askarbek Avganov received bronze medals.

More than 200 sambists from 11 countries are participating in the competition. Twelve athletes are defending the honor of Uzbekistan.
