Uzbekistan’s athletes won 5 medals in the World Muaythai Championships in Bangkok, Thailand.

In tough competitions, attended by about 2 thousand athletes from 102 countries, Zubair Khusanov (54 kg) won a gold medal, Daler Sobirov (51 kg) and Rakhmatjon Khodjayev (75 kg) won silver medals. Akobir Kahramonov (91 kg) and Naimjon Tukhtaboyev (75 kg) won bronze medals.

The Vietnamese team took first place in the championships with 5 gold, 3 silver, and 7 bronze medals. The following places went to the teams of Malaysia and Thailand. Uzbekistan national team entered the top ten.
