The number of farms engaged in fish breeding in the Aral Sea region is growing from year to year.

There are 6 incubator shops and 5 clusters operating in the region. Up to 200 tons of dietary fish products are produced annually in the indoor pools of the Karakalpokbaliqsanoat Cluster in Nukus. Carp, African catfish, and tilapia are bred here using Israeli technology. According to the head of the cluster Obod Bekniyazov, 30 pieces of tilapia were brought from Vietnam and received two million fry.

Contracts have been signed with partners from Russia.
