The First Consumer Forum of Europe and Asia kicked off in Tashkent on January 15.
The First Consumer Forum of Europe and Asia kicked off in Tashkent on January 15.
The event, organized by the Federation of Consumer Protection Societies of Uzbekistan jointly with International Confederation of Consumer Societies, Yuksalish National Movement, is attended by more than 250 specialists from almost 30 countries, such as the United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, India and Turkey.
The main purpose of the forum is to discuss new principles, issues of consumer protection in e-commerce and tourism, identify prospects for international cooperation in this sphere in the context of globalization, exchange of experience.
Information was exchanged on innovations in the sphere, emerging new types of social relations, ideas and proposals were forwarded on protecting the consumers’ legitimate interests in this process. Ways of introducing theoretical developments into practice were discussed.
The forum is also attended by representatives of major European and Asian countries that have a high reputation in consumer market, and where tourism and manufacturing are developed.
It is planned to adopt a message for consumers of Europe and Asia. Future prospects of the sphere will be determined on the basis of this recommendation document.
The First Consumer Forum of Europe and Asia will continue its work on January 16-17 in Samarkand.
