Fine and Applied Arts Festival has kicked off in Nukus, dedicated to the Year of Human Care and Quality Education.

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan R.Zarikeyev and others addressed the opening ceremony of the festival in the Karakalpak Republican branch of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.

An exhibition of students of the faculty of Fine Arts and Engineering Graphics of Nukus State Pedagogical Institute named after Ajiniyaz “Yoshlar Parvozi” (“Flight of Youth”) was opened. Teachers and students also presented their work. National costumes prepared by members of the Hunarmand Association were demonstrated.

It is planned to organize plein airs in Muynak district, exhibitions of children’s schools of music and art in Nukus, a specialized boarding school for the arts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, meetings and master classes with the participation of members of the Creative Union of Artists of Uzbekistan, exhibitions of artists of Karakalpakstan and other events.
