The Center for Retraining Journalists of Uzbekistan in Bukhara conducted training on “The role of the media and civil society in strengthening tolerance: the fight against gender stereotypes” with the financial support of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. Representatives of non-governmental non-profit organizations, journalists and bloggers attended it.

The role and importance of tolerance in public and state life were discussed at the training using interactive methods. Based on brainstorming, the main concepts of gender equality in society are explained. Gender stereotypes formed in social networks, and the media, were discussed.

Lectures were heard on analyzing materials from the media and social networks.
