As is known, in 2027, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan will jointly host the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Recently, a meeting dedicated to preparations for this prestigious tournament was held at the Uzbekistan Football Association with the participation of representatives of a FIFA delegation.

Foreign specialists highly praised the consistent reforms being implemented in the country to comprehensively develop football, upgrade infrastructure to a new level, and strengthen international cooperation. It was noted that the efforts undertaken in the country fully correspond to the current transformation processes in global football.

At the meeting, preliminary plans on organizational and functional aspects were discussed. Based on the proposals, mechanisms for coordinating activities were established.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to maintain ongoing cooperation in fulfilling tasks related to the successful organization and hosting of the World Cup.
