On 25-30 December this year, Samarkand will host the FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Championships 2023.

The International Chess Federation announced the World Championships program and an official statement regarding the procedure for registering participants, arrival dates, registration deadlines, and other nuances.

The last day for registration is December 1.

The participants will arrive in Samarkand on December 25. The competition officially starts on December 26. According to the program, rapid chess championships will be held from December 26 to 28, and blitz championships from December 29 to 30.
