Fergana, Thailand develop cooperation

A business forum took place with representatives of the business circles of Fergana region and Thailand.

The delegation from the Department of South Asian, Middle East, and African Affairs at the Foreign Ministry of Thailand includes almost 20 representatives of seven leading companies operating in medicine, tourism, trade, transport, and energy.

Deputy Hokim of the region H. Akhmedov stressed that cooperation between the two countries is expanding and friendship is strengthening.

In recent years, four enterprises have been established in Fergana region with the participation of Thai investors. The Royal Thai Group has invested $28.5 million in the textile industry and tourism of Fergana region.

The implementation of joint projects aimed at deepening cultural-humanitarian ties and exchanging experience to improve tourism services was discussed. The Fergana region’s stable economy, investment potential, foreign trade activities, and industrial zones were presented.

The guests became familiar with the products produced in the region.
