On 4-9 July 2021, Fergana hosted the regular meeting of the working government delegations of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in the Joint Demarcation Commission.

The parties discussed state border demarcation issues, exchanged views on the project demarcation line and the establishment of border signs on the interstate border.

The parties agreed to continue field demarcation work on Uzbekistan – Tajikistan State border.

The meeting was held in the spirit of friendship and mutual understanding.

A Protocol was signed following the meeting.
