Fergana hosts Honey Festival
A popular event in Fergana is the Honey Festival, enjoyed by both the young and the old.
This year it is being held for the 25th time. Like other fields, beekeeping in the region is developing every year.

“There are more than 1,700 beekeepers in Fergana region”, says Sherzod Suyarkulov, Chairman of the Regional Association of Beekeepers. “They have 90,000 bee colonies, which have produced 1,700 tons of honey this year. Over 60 beekeepers are participating in the honey festival, which will run until November 30”.

Experts are talking in detail about the healing properties of honey. Here, visitors can buy more than 10 types of honey, pollen, propolis, wax, and honeycombs.
