Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Capital Goods SERCOBE plans to invest in waste processing in Fergana region.

Hokim of Fergana region Khayrullo Bozorov received the Director of the Association of Manufacturers of Capital Goods SERCOBE for Eastern Europe and CIS Héctor Rodríguez. SERCOBE, which has over 130 largest companies and 4 industry associations in Spain, plans to invest in the waste management sector in Fergana region.

The parties discussed principles of cooperation, experience and approaches in the processing of waste of Spanish companies, issues of personnel training and advanced training necessary for the sphere of waste disposal and processing in Fergana region.

The Spanish side stated that it offers alternative options for cooperation based on complete data on the volume of waste in the region, their composition, collection, sorting, removal and disposal, and will announce the amount of investment. When creating an enterprise based on the full foreign investment, the possibilities of cooperation based on the public-private partnership or in the form of a joint venture with local entrepreneurs will be considered.

The Asko Vostok insurance company announced its desire to participate in the project to insure investments and risks of investors, as well as to strengthen their confidence in cooperation. The parties agreed to continue negotiations on a specific project.
