International Fencing Federation decided to hold Junior World Fencing Cup on November 17-18, 2018 in Tashkent. The Fencing World Cup is an annual international competition held under the International Fencing Federation. Individual and team competitions are held for the World Cup.

The national team of cadets of Uzbekistan won silver medals at the Asian championship in 2015 in saber fencing. Saber girls from Uzbekistan – Zaynab Dayibekova, Sevinch Ismoilova, Shakhnoza Togaymurodova and Sevila Khudoyberganova were awarded bronze medals of the Asian Championship.

As it is known, Tashkent hosted the Junior and Cadets World Fencing Championships in 2015, for the first time.
