The delegation led by the Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany Annalena Baerbock visited Bulungur district, in Uzbekistan.
The guests got acquainted with the work carried out in 2011-2012 by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) on the Bot-Bot inter-district main canal.

The Bot-Bot canal, built in 1973, supplies water to the fields in Bulungur, Jambay and Payaryk districts of Samarkand region, the sown area of which is 9350 hectares. The length of the canal is 49.6 kilometers, the throughput capacity is 11 m3/min. Within the framework of the project with a total cost of 797,372 thousand euros, the canal was reconstructed, 3.8 kilometers were concreted. Three hydraulic structures have been built. A mini-excavator, cargo motorcycles and welding units were purchased for the operation of the canal.

The delegation from Germany got acquainted with the work carried out within the framework of the project, the conditions created in the service rooms on the territory, and the results achieved. The guests exchanged views on future cooperation.
