Farhan Nizami: “New political technologies effectively used during the elections”
On October 25, the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Sodik Safoyev, met with the Director of the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, Farhan Nizami, who participated in the elections as an observer.
The parties exchanged views on the work carried out in Uzbekistan to preserve religious values, study and popularize the scientific heritage of great scientists, as well as on the Presidential elections in Uzbekistan.
Mr. Farhan Nizami praised the ongoing political, legal and socio-economic reforms in the country. He noted that new political technologies were effectively used in the elections.
At the meeting, the need was noted for cooperation between the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies and Uzbekistan’s relevant research centers.
